Praise House is saved for move to South-View Cemetery
The Praise House Project receives community support for move to South-View Cemetery from the Imlay Foundation and The Homestead Foundation to save the structure and support from the ReBuildATL Coalition, including Lifecycle Building Center, ReGen Community Advisory, and the Georgia Tech Center for Sustainable Communities, to deconstruct and relocate the Praise House from Beacon Hill to South-View Cemetery.
In its next act of remembrance, The Praise House Project will acknowledge the over 80,000 ancestors who rest there, including victims of the 1906 Atlanta Race Massacre, marking the beginning of a year of remembrance leading up to the 120th anniversary of the massacre in 2026.
